Milan Fashion Week SS 2021 - When Giorgio Armani walked in your house

Yesterday something of very unusual and unpredictable had happened, Giorgio Armani’s runway was broadcasted on national italian TV. There was no live audience based on celebrities, actress or influencers but common people, such as families watched this unique event in their own house. Have you seen Armstrong walking on the moon? Do you remember how you were feeling in that moment? It was an historical event and it is the same for Giorgio Armani’s runway. He has changed the rules of the game by allowing common people to see his wonderful clothes. Armani made Milan Fashion Week and its clothes democratic and universal because everyone could tune on La7 and watch Armani’s runway. 

The customs and traditions are changed because of COVID-19 and we can’t go back to our past but we have to reschedule our future. A future that should be more green, sustainable and with less waste. In this way Giorgio Armani had created his new collection, with particular regards to find out the best way to reduce these frenetics rhythms imposed by fashion systems. This pandemic had imposed new rhythms, in regard to our lifestyle, based on a more consciousness and slower routine. For Spring Summer 2021 Armani has developed clothes characterised by simple and comfortable forms. During Armani’s runway, it looked like models were moving through a frenetic and crowded city with charme and elegance, even if this rhythmics has no relationship with them because they were beyond the time. 

How an Armani’s woman has to be? Well, she is elegant but comfortable, she wears blazer and trousers in regard to a male style that during these times had become common to each kind of gender. Then there were different jumpsuits, clothes that was used by workers but during the times had became, thanks Giorgio Armani too, an elegant and charmful  uniform, comfortable to wear during the day or night. During the night Armani jumpsuits change thanks to sparkling details.

Giorgio Armani has redesigned himself another time, another way, by thinking what common people need during their daily routine. Armani’s new collection SS 2021 had walked in our house with total respect and regards and helped us, common women, to get in touch with a marvellous collection that maybe one day we should wear to walk through new social or personal achievements.
